Mission Update

7 episodes are now behind me....but....I still have a long journey ahead. I have 90 more in the Enterprise series, 80 in the original, 22 cartoons, 177 Nextgens, 183 Deep Space and 168 Voyagers!!! So, I have 710 episodes to go, not including the movies. Luckily, I have a good crew backing me up, so I will continue to Boldy Go!

The Mission:

My first memory in life was the Charlie X episode of the original Star Trek. I looked up from my playpen and saw Captain Kirk kick Charlie out of his captain's chair. At the time, my Dad was away in Vietnam and Kirk was my first role model in how to behave as a man (for better and worse). It was a valuable lesson and as a high school teacher I have kicked many a teen out of my "captain's chair"! Recently I spoke to one of my Trekkie students about my quest to view every Star Trek ever made...a way to give back to the series something that gave so much to me. I thought I would start with the original series...but she pointed out that I needed to go in "chronological" order...so I am starting with Star Trek-Enterprise. She also noted that we are talking about 600+ hours of viewing not including the cartoon series. After hearing that she and her Dad have also joined the "crew" and are also embarking on this journey, I decided to document our progress and create a place for us and future crew members to share our experiences and observations. We are all boldly going where no man (or woman) has gone before (except for one reserve crew member who is prioritizing college over this adventure at the moment).
